Description
Early 20th Century Heavily Carved Monks Bench.
A versatile bench with the backrest being hinged on the armrests, allowing it to flip forward and rest flat to transform the piece from a bench into a table. Lift up lid for storage.
The back rest features a central shield, surrounded by flowing, symmetrical scroll work and acanthus leaves.
The base having deeply carved panels with circular motifs and scrolling patterns, with turned supports.
