Description
Mid Victorian Burr Walnut serpentine waterfall corner “wot not” featuring fine inlays of naturalistic form to all 4 tiers and double strung boxwood inlayed borders to outline each graduated serpentine front that also has an ebonised front edge. Each of the top 3 tiers also has a finely inlaid curved frieze below the ebonised serpentine front edges.
Raised on turned walnut supports terminating with original ceramic castors the “wot not” has a sweeping curved pediment to the top which is also finely inlaid with a naturalistic design and also features an ebonised edge to compliment the overall serpentine effect.
Overall an extremely fine example in superb original condition.
