LSWR Double Dial Fusee Railway Clock 2126

London & south western Railway 14”/12” double dial, oak cased, chain fusee, platform/ ticket office railway clock 2126. Supplied to the LSWR by John Walker of London circa 1870. Both original dials have been overplated by two hand painted aluminium dials reading the same by the renowned Dr D.R Parr, these can easily be removed if required. Both dials retain their original cast bezels. The Southern Railway clock records show that this clock was in use at Romsey Station ( between walls)
A rare 19th century timepiece, one of only 18 14”/12” double dials made by John Walker( source Railway Clocks by Ian P Lyman) used on the original junction of the “Sprat & Winkle” line.
Overhauled with new mainspring, the substantial movement comes with pendulum , key, copy of the southern railway clock records and receipt for work on the dials.
Mounted on bespoke Oak stand with brass adjustable feet( original was mounted in between platform and ticket office wall) would look great in a barn conversion ,bracket mounted on a beam
