Description

This rare Queen Victoria Diamond Jubilee Commemorative Cup & Saucer, was made by H.M. Williamson & Sons of Bridge Pottery, Longton, Staffordshire to celebrate Queen Victoria being on the throne for 60 years in 1897. It is decorated with hand-painted images of an 1837 and 1897 Queen Victoria portrait, Buckingham Palace, Balmoral, Windsor, Roses, Thistles, Shamrocks and more. Lovely embossing in the ceramic.

Condition
It is in good condition to say that it is 120+ years old. There are no cracks, restoration or chips to the cup or saucer. There is some wear to the gilding on the teacup handle. On the back of the saucer there are three indents believed to be from firing.
