Description
Christmas 1906 Sari Cloth and Turban Cloth gifted by the Indian spinning and weaving association to the Earl of Minto, former viceroy of India. With a letter on headed paper from Government House, Calcutta.
Provenance: Estate of the Earl of Minto.
Sari: Fine cotton with pink, red, black and gold trims. Measures 44” by 14’8”.
Turban: Indigo blue cotton with woven gold stripes. Measures 24.5” by 12’6”.
