Description
A lovely statement piece, of lovely quality and striking design. A large and beautiful Mid 20th Century, English Silver Plated Punch Bowl. Lovely decorative Foliate repousse garland set around the bowl with two ornate lions head and ringed handles to each side, standing on a heavy weighted base. There is no Hallmark for the Punch Bowl or Cups, but Silver on Copper, Made in England is marked central on the base. The original six cups mirror the design of the bowl. A very usable and decorative item, Ideal for Mulled Wine or Pimms, but additionally would make a fabulous Champagne Chiller/Ice Bucket. The Ladle is stamped Butler (Circa 1922) and has a very attractive shell shaped scoop. Not original but displays and complements the design and aesthetic appearance of the Punch Bowl very well.
Given the age and use, the silver plating is very good quality, clean and showing only the lightest of wear.
