This Arts and Crafts silver tea strainer is a typical example of items made during the creative period of the early C20th. The handles of the strainer have lovely entwined stems and if you look carefully in the bottom of the bowl the holes form the shape of a flower.
Made in Birmingham in 1912 by the Davies Brothers. The hallmarks are clear on the outer side of the bowl.
The tea strainer is 2cms high, 11cm long and the diameter of the bowl is 5cm. The total silver weight is just over 33g and is in good condition.
