This is a particularly beautiful silver sifter spoon with very fine intricately detailed decoration that is so typical of the early 19thc, Edwardian period.
The handle of the spoon is decorated with a pretty flower and leaves of a thistle at the top, consisting of a stone that is likely to be an amethyst and leaves of delicate silver. The stalk of the flower is winding organically around the shaft of the spoon handle.
The spoon is hallmarked Birmingham 1907.
The spoon is 12 cm long.
The bowl of the spoon is circular and has a diameter of 4”.
The depth of the spoon is 2 cm.
