The Barker Ellis Silver Co Ltd was established in 1801, as silversmiths and electroplaters. By 1871 the business was known as Barker Brothers, silversmiths, and manufactured candlesticks, cutlery and tablewares at premises situated in Paradise Street, Birmingham. The company subsequently incorporated as Barker Brothers Silversmiths Ltd in 1907 and moved premises to Constitution Hill, where it remained until the early 1980s.
