Description
This is a true set with slightly different dates to the hallmarks as was normal and the set comprises of poultry carver and fork along with the meat fork all Sheffield hallmarked with the ferrules dated 1912 and the repoussé tops dated for 1914. The large meat carver has Sheffield hallmarks for 1910 on the ferrule and 1915 to the repoussé top. Both forks have sprung knife guards.
The set is housed within a black faux leather effect case that’s lined in blue velvet and silk bearing the retailer West & Sons Dublin.

- Condition: Superb true set with clear crisp hallmarks all bearing A.D marks for Allen & Darwin with no wear to the repoussé work. The set does show light wear use. The antler handles have no chips or cracks. The case has a superb interior with good hinges and the catch is fully working with a satisfying snap and the case has had a coat of traditional shellac to restore its lustre.
