Description
A distinctive vintage sterling silver pendant necklace by Shetland Jewellery (or Shetland Silver), featuring the famous 'Three Nornes' or Norns motif. This iconic Norse-inspired design depicts the three female fate goddesses of Norse mythology—Urd (Past), Verdandi (Present), and Skuld (Future)—in the form of graceful swans woven together. The Nornes were believed to be able to transform into swans for ease of travel.
