Description

This Victorian ladies' vanity box is veneered in richly figured burr walnut with a polished finish. The hinged lid opens to reveal a luxurious silk lined interior, fitted with nine decorative glass perfume pots and three larger storage jars, all featuring ornate metal caps. A selection of five bone handled grooming implements is secured within the lid's interior. A notable mechanical feature is the button operated hidden drawer at the base, which glides open to provide additional storage. The exterior is further detailed with an inlaid mother of people escutcheon and a matching nameplate.
