Description
A very interesting wooden engraved printing block, probably by Thomas Bewick (1753-1828). He was a wood engraver and natural history author. The block features an Aesop Fable, the Ant and the Grasshopper in front of a water mill. To the reverse is a pencil inscription, The Ant and the Grasshopper and number 121. Dealer Code: 2376.
