Description

A really interesting and unusual pair of carved art deco period bookends. Two dark stained books at right angles are surmounted by a carved and painted wooden standing marabou stork with glass eyes. The marabou bird is known as the undertaker bird due to its scavenging diet, and the fact that is looks like an undertaker from behind. Stock Code: 2849.
