Description
A lovely mid sized (50mm) Victorian silver fusee chain driven pocket watch by Jacob Alper from Hull. The watch is in good working order, keeping reasonably good time and comes with a albert, T Bar & fob.
The silver case is still in very good condition. It has a replacement crystal, good hinges and the rear cover still springs open when the pendant button is pressed. The case is Hallmarked Thomas Mills London 1886.
The case and movement have matching number stamped on the inside 51025
The fusee lever movement runs well in all positions and it is complete with its dust cover. The white enamel dial is not quite perfect but it still looks okay.
The silver chain has no confirmed hallmarks T bar, spring clip and fob, all the chain links have a slight visible silver stamps which are worn.
The chain weighs just over 35 grams and measures 30cm when opened out.
