Rare and authentic English Windsor armchair dating to circa 1830, crafted by the highly regarded chairmaker, George Nicholson of Rockley, Nottinghamshire. Constructed primarily from beautifully figured yew wood, prized for its rich, warm colour and distinctive grain. Features a small wooden bar to the front of the chair to prevent the child from falling. Beautifully turned legs with carved back and spindles. Very good condition with some age related wear consistent with use.
