Contact us about A Fine Antique Mahogany and Cube Marquetry Jewel Box

A Beautiful Craftsman Made Antique Mahogany and Cube Marquestry Jewel Box. It was Made by J B Heslop of Nottingham Around 1900, and Passed Down Through the Family. John Burn Heslop (1852-1935) was a Cabinet Maker. He Was Born in North East of England, but Moved to the East Midlands in the 1870's. He Worked for Furnishing Company Foster & Cooper Until his Retirement. It is of the Highest Quality, with Cube Marquestry and Inlaid Ribbon Border. The Interior Lid Has a Lovely Inlaid Shell, and the Inside Base Has a Small Pull Handle, I am Not Sure What This is For. In Addition There is a Side Drawer That I Cannot Work Out How it Opens, But Maybe the Pull Handle Has Something to do With it. Working Lock and Key.
