A fine quality mezzotint titled 'Wait till the clouds roll by' of a pair of bassett puppies under an umbrella. The original artwork was by William Henry Hamilton Trood. (1859-1899). He is a well known British artist and sculptur who specialised in depictions of dogs. This is a blind stamped mezzotint by Edward Gilbert Hester (1843-1903). The mezzotint is signed and dated 1903 and also signed in pencil W H Trood. The original oil painting by Trood was exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1893.
