Contact us about A Very Rare Art Nouveau glass vase by Moser Karlsbad with Hot Pad applied Cameo cut Flowers
A very rare Art Nouveau glass vase by Moser Karlsbad. The technique called "Hot Pad" refers to an applied glass colour with cameo cut motive, in this case a flower. Further detailed, deep wheel-carved, intaglio flower decorations complete the vase. Early 20th century Bohemia.
Moser was founded in 1857 in Bohemia, Austria-Hungary, now Czech Republic. Moser pieces are some of the most collected 20th century decorative glass. From its beginnings as a polishing and engraving workshop, it developed into a lead-free glass manufacturer that is still producing the highest quality crystal glassware. Moser's hand cutting, engraving, gilding and brilliant colours are unsurpassed.
