An Aesthetic Movement cup and saucer, possibly influenced by Dr Christopher Dresser after his visit to Japan and during his long association with Minton Pottery.
The cup is gilded with parasols, fans and a polychrome figure.
The saucer is gilded with foliage, insects and a bird.
The saucer bears the incised mark for Minton and a printed London retailer’s trademark A.B Daniel and Son.
