A wonderful and highly collectable antique early 20th century ceramic lustre vase by Pilkington Royal Lancastrian. The vase of globe shape with twin handles on a high drawn neck and spreading foot. Shape number 3055, made circa 1910. Beautifully painted with a silver/gold lustre lion passant over a royal blue ground. The neck with 'AVE' titled gilt band. Decorated by Gordon Forsyth (1879-1952). The base with painted and impressed marks. Stock Code: 3603.
The white squares on the vase are not damage, they are reflections from the lighting. The vase is of such a high lustre, it is difficult to photograph.
