Contact us about Early 18th Century English Oak Coffer

An excellent example of an early 18th century traditional oak coffer box, the natural honey colour making this the standout. It dates from the early 1700's, some end up having the feet cut down and bits replaced, but this is a very good example retaining its correct height. It has the three recessed panels to the front and two to either side, stile legs, looks good from all angles and sits to a good height. This has had no repairs at all, the baseboards are all original and all the blacksmith made nails are all correct. The only change is that its original ring hinges have been replaced with strap hinges, which is usually the case, but they are early hand forged examples and probably replaced late 1700's/early 1800's. A good solid example, fantastic hard to find colour and truly excellent condition.
