This George III chest on chest, dating to circa 1800, is crafted from burr walnut with fine cross-banding to the drawer edges. The upper section features a curved, stepped cornice above three small top drawers and three graduated long drawers. The lower base section houses three further large drawers, all supported by traditional bracket feet. The piece is fitted with brass swing handles, decorative escutcheons, and functional brass carrying handles to the sides. The rich grain of the burr walnut is displayed across the facade, complemented by fluted canted corners on the upper carcase.
