A Fabulous Oak Box with Chunky Hand Carved Details and Lion Finial 'The Audrey Box' This is an absolutely beautiful item...Lovely decorative carving all around, a true statement piece. Would make a lovely Jewellery Box, but would equally make a stunning Hall Key Box, Desk Box or Gentleman’s Dressing Room Box etc... Made from solid oak, having a lovely aged patina. Standing on four substantial Lion Hairy Paw Feet. The top has lovely decorative carving and is set with a very handsome skilfully carved Lion central to the lid. Internally the lid has an inset mirror, and the interior has one deep recess that has been relined in a plush pastel blue. The Oak cartouche on the front has the name Audrey inscribed...we think that’s a fantastic name for a Lion!! The condition of this lovely Oak Box is very good, the structure is solid, and the wear present is light.
