Contact us about Original WW2 Era Hand Drawn Cartoons by Artist Bill Tait

An excellent collection of 40 different original hand drawn cartoons by artist Bill Tait. They were all created during WW2 and are about the war. Most have publishing dates for the Glasgow Evening Herald on the reverse. Most are drawn on thick card, but one or two are on paper. This collection illustrates a fascinated look into wartime at home, and probably helped keep the spirits up of the British people with a little humour. Various sizes, the largest cartoon is 25.3cm high by 17cm wide. We do have another two sets of hand drawn cartoons by Bill Tait, a group of 40 and a group of 45, they are not currently at Hemswell. But if you are interested in all three lots, a total of 125 items, please contact the centre. Dealer Code: 3001.
