This wonderful Qing dynasty Chinese marriage cabinet takes your breath away in its simplicity of design and the stunning reverse painted panels on the doors. The panels depict the sun and the moon, which in old Chinese myth means the coming together of two people in love. Lining the inside of the cabinet are love poems in old script. The original lock is still in place and working. We have not over restored this piece to look brand new, but rather, left the age and patina to shine through which gives it class and desirability.
