This rosewood display cabinet, dating to circa 1875, features a distinctive serpentine shape and elegant ormolu mounts throughout. The lower front panel has been replaced and showcases a hand painted Vernis Martin style scene, typical of the refined French influence on late 19th century furniture. Inside, the cabinet provides ample storage with two glass shelves and remains functional with its original working lock and key. The rich wood grain is complemented by the ornate gilded decorations on the crown, feet and body.
