THE ARTIST Anthony Sheath was born in London in 1946 and there he developed his interest in painting. The quality of his landscapes and figurative work has always shown incredible attention to detail, and the subject is inevitably appealing and depicts tranquil rustic scenes. This original painting captures a scene of traditional haymaking, with workers and a horse-drawn cart in a rural setting. Many of his scenes are related to Herefordshire and Gloucestershire, The main characteristic of his landscape scenes are the depiction of tranquil, bygone age, horses and figures often are the focal points, his work has been included in the “Top Ten Awards” by the Fine Art Trade Guilds. Being so original has made him perhaps the leading Artists painting English Landscapes and Genre subjects. He now lives in Herefordshire where he gets much of his inspiration, his paintings have been exhibited internationally but principally in the UK
