Contact us about Victorian Butterfly Glass Dome

This Victorian glass dome from the 1890's contains a vibrant display of tropical butterflies, featuring species such as Priam's birdwings, a four bar Helen, and a Halal birdwing, alongside two delicate white dragon tails. The specimens are arranged in a naturalistic composition upon a light coloured branch. The dome is mounted on its original ebonised circular base, which is raised on three small pedestal feet.
