A fabulous antique 1920's Wedgwood Fairyland Lustre vase by Daisy Makeig-Jones. Decorated in the Sycamore Tree pattern, design number Z4968. The body features multiple detailed scenes including the Feng Hwang bird swooping down towards a shoreline. Winged figures are depicted in various activities, including one using a spider's web as a trampoline while another figure with red wings sits on a tall rock observing. A boat sails towards the shore, and a female figure is illustrated floating down from a tree above. The sky background is shaded in tones of pink.There are many fairy figures, as well as a bridge. The decoration employs gilded outlines and lustrous iridescent glazes. The base with Wedgwood England painted portland vase mark, and pattern number Z4968. Stock Code: 3911.
