In the UK, Mother’s Day falls on the fourth Sunday of Lent, three weeks before Easter Sunday and, in 2022, this will be Sunday, March 27th. Originally a date in the religious calendar, ‘Mothering Sunday’ was the day to visit your ‘mother’ church where you grew up. Mother’s Day today is a secular holiday and the opportunity to honour and thank our mothers and grandmothers.
