George V Era (1910 - 1936)
The George V era (1910–1936) introduced a blend of elegance, craftsmanship, and emerging modern influences to the home. Early in this period, Edwardian styles lingered, bringing light, airy colour palettes and floral motifs creating a sense of openness and charm. The Art Deco movement gained popularity in the 1920s through to the 1930s and the influence of global travel during this time brought exotic materials such as animal print.
