Description
Fine ‘Vienna’ Austria porcelain vase. The vase of classic Roman shape with flared rim and pinched neck with scrolling shoulders and tapered body stood upon a circular base. Two classical scenes feature, one on each side with Roman soldiers and classically dressed figures in white robes. Each scene surrounded by scrolling gilt decoration with Greek key and opposing griffins. To the underside the classic Vienna beehive mark features near the centre. The vase dating to the late 19th century circa 1880.
