Very Nice Antique English Stoneware Doulton Lambeth Blackjack Motto Jug. The Leather Effect Dark Brown Ceramic Jug with Sterling Silver Rim. Decorated with a Motto 'He that buys land buys stones, he that buys flesh buys bones, he that buys eggs buys many shells, he that buys good ale buys nothing else'. The Silver Rim Hallmarked for Cornelius Desormeaux Saunders & James Francis Hollings, London, 1891. Fully Marked to the Base.
