Description

Original 1917 Plate signed by Bruce Bainsfather of 'What Time Do They Feed The Sea-Lions Alf'. Designed during World War One, these caricature and amusing cartoons were often seen as vulgar, but proved popular with the troops. Manufactured by Grimwades Royal Winton, England, these were made by The Girls of Staffordshire during the Winter of 1917. Fully stamped to the back. Superb.
