Description
A Clarice Cliff Autumn Crocus cup and saucer, hand painted and honey glazed. Both pieces have the same gold Royal Staffordshire Crocus by Clarice Cliff signature stamp over the Wilkinson Ltd stamp in green. Good used condition with no cracks evident. Some wear to the paint work on both pieces. The saucer has the usual firing hold marks/scratches on the base. The cup has base rim rough areas. The glazing has the usual discolouration/fading in areas which is indicative of age. The colours are still vibrant and the brush strokes defined. Date: c 1930s
