Description

Early 20th Century stained beech chair designed by Marcel Kammerer (renowned modernist Austrian architect, designer & artist ) for Thonet, Vienna. Designed in 1910, and sits within the Austrian Secessionist school. Original label to base. Rare to find. In original condition, with just minor replacement strands to the caned seat.

The Thonet archives have confirmed the following, based on a photograph of this chair:
It is a Model 6522, and is shown in the Thonet catalogues for 1911-15.
It was designed by Marcel Kammerer c1910,
