Description
A Wonderful Rare Art Deco Period and Great Shape Silver Plated Tea and Coffee Set. Consisting of Tea Pot, Coffee Pot, Milk Jug and Covered Sugar Bowl on Original Tray. It Was Probably Designed by Gio Ponti the Famous Italian Designer for Arthur Krupp and Made by the Austrian Firm of Berndorf Metalware Factory in About 1934. The Wonderful Design is Typical of the Period, with Fluted Beaker Form Bodies, Flat Lids and Stepped Fluted Cylindrical Finials and Angled Handles, with Gilded Interiors to the Milk Jug and Sugar Bowl.
Gio Ponti (1891-1979) Was a Famous Italian Architect and Designer, he Created Designs for the Krupp's Factory in the 1930's.
Each Piece is Fully Signed with the Factory Mark and EPNS.
