19th Century Eight Day Grandfather Clock by Marshall of Lincoln

Early 19th century eight day grandfather clock by Marshall of Lincoln. The case is of light oak and mahogany with round cartouche inlaid in the door. The hood is surmounted by a pair of swan-neck pediments with brass patterae, and the wooden pillars on each side of the hood are held in place by brass capitols. The painted arch dial has delicate roses and honeysuckle in the arch and in the corners. The central area of the dial has Arabic numerals and also an outer Arabic minutes ring; plus a date aperture. The painted moon-roller indicates which day of the month the moon should shine brighter. Striking the hour on a bell. In working order, cleaned and fully restored.
