Description
Fine Swiss Black Forest Eagle carving of substantial size. The eagle beautifully carved with exceptional detail throughout perched upon a rocky outcrop with a rounded base. The eagle with menacing talons grasping into the rock while the eagle looks on into the distance to take flight. The Bird carved of walnut with blackened feathers with glass eyes and a alerted hooked beak. The model can be seen in the book Swiss carvings The Art of Black Forest. 1820-1940
