WW2 Brodie Police Helmet
This is a genuine piece of history. The Brodie helmet was designed in 1915 and was made famous for its use throughout World War 1. These helmets were used for decades after the war and are still used today in some countries. Many variants of the Brodie helmet have been made since and are still active.
This particular helmet was that of a Police officer during World War 2. The Helmet is dated 1938 and reads “Police” clearly along the front. Inside the helmet are the markings “X5 II”, “HBH 1938”. HBH stands for “Harrison Bros & Howson” which manufactured Brodie helmets in Sheffield from 1938 to 1943.
Condition - used but good condition, has scratches and marks you would expect from an item of this age. The material lining is in very good condition. The helmet is stamped HBH 1938 (Harrison Brothers & Howson Sheffield)
