Description
A watercolour of St. Servan, Brittany, France by Frank Sherwin (1896-1986). He specialised in watercolours and is remembered mostly for the railway posters which promoted travel to holiday destinations around Britain.
He was a member of the Royal Society of British artists and also the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour. There is a label verso which says "This is an original watercolour by Frank Sherwin R.I.W. of Cookham. Painted about 1960 in situ". Presented in a glazed painted wood frame. The measurements are of the frame.
