Description
A very fine 19th century Portrait of a Lady, believed to be (Mrs Sandys (nee Short) first wife of Lieu gen George Sandys Col of 6th Madras Light Cavalry) Inscribed Verso. Beautifully painted in oils on canvas and presented in a Period Gilt Frame.

- In presentable order - the canvas has been lined, appears to have an area of overpainting mainly to the background top centre. Frame - presentable with some repair, loss and areas of damage.
