Description
Piper was appointed an official war artist in WW2 and is famous for his paintings of war damaged churches - in particular of Coventry Cathedral for which he also designed the amazing stained glass windows.
He had the honour of being specially commissioned by HM. King George VI to paint views of Windsor Castle and received the personal gift from the monarch of The Order of Merit.
