3 Framed Chinese School ink and colour on silk and pith paper. Not signed
W18cms x H23cms Two paintings. Both of these paintings have a small amount of damage. W15cms x H20.5cms
Europeans while travelling in China During in the early 19th century would collect small watercolour paintings showing Chinese every day activities.
These would be painted on ‘pith’ paper which is made from the inner pith of a shrub called Tetrapanex papyrifera, native to S China and Taiwan.
This item can be located in Building 2, ground floor ablutions room in a cabinet.
