Description
"St. Ives Harbour, Cornwall" by John Ambrose, RSMA, (1931-2010) original impressionist oil painting on board.
John was born in Brierley Hill, Staffordshire and spent many holidays in St. Ives. He developed such a love for the area that he acquired a cottage in St. Ives and set up his studio and painted local scenes for over 30 years.
His work became widely recognised and he was elected to The Royal Society of Marine Artists in 1990.
