Description
Recently professionally restored using fine quality leather the late Victorian circa 1880 walnut framed library / reading chair is raised on brass castors and has a removable multi adjustable brass reading lectern with mahogany book mount; the lectern simply slots into the left arm of the chair. The brown leather is superb quality with a soft feel and the cushion is removable. Overall this is an attractive, very comfortable and rare chair.
Presented in superb condition with all original fittings the lectern adjusters are fully working with some play to the pivots as expected for an item 140 years old. The leather has some very slight usage scuffs.
