Fine Quality Victorian Dressing Table by Exhibition Cabinetmaker James Lamb of Manchester 1890-1900's Aesthetic Period

The condition is very good with the expected signs of age related wear for a used item of this period, and has a good solid structure. There is a small degree of light aged speckling and small scratch to the plate glass, but given the age of this piece it is in good solid and absolutely original condition. Having had the surfaces recently polish, refreshed and finished with beeswax ready for delivery to your home.

Lamb of Manchester became a very well respected high class interior design, decorating and furnishing business operating from Castleford, with their main operational showroom in John Dalton Street, Manchester that was spread over 3 floors, showcasing exceptionally high quality furniture.
The company designed and showcased exhibition quality furniture, first at the Great Exhibition of 1851 at Crystal Palace gaining further international recognition and success winning medals at the London Exhibition in 1862 (sometimes referred to as The International Exhibition of 1862) and the Paris Exhibition in 1867.

- A good solid statement piece of furniture in very good condition. Signs of age related wear but minimal for a used item of this period. There is a small degree of light aged speckling and a small scratch to the plate glass.
