Description
A delightful early Victorian silver-plated sewing bird clamp with pincushion in excellent condition. The C clamp has a most decorative foliate pattern. In full working order. When the tail is pressed the beak opens. This allows material to be held firmly in the closed beak so that the sewer can use both hands. The pincushion & its twisted rod unscrew for cleaning. Dates to c. 1850.
