Description
A stylish long-handled silver fork by Danish designer Evald Nielsen 1887-1958 who was in business in Copenhagen from 1905-1939. He was a long-standing member of the Goldsmith's Guild of Copenhagen and one of the leading men behind organising the Danish gold and silversmiths.
Contrary to George Jensen, Evald Nielsen based his firm on his own designs and only to a small extent used artists and architects as designers.
On the back of the shaft it says DENMARK and shows very clearly EN, 830 silver and the pattern no.28
Excellent condition with no scratches.
Weighs 28 grams.
I have listed another very similar silver fork by Nielsen with a different finial.
